“Lord Lord Lord” – Mos Def, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon,... →
So, I heard so much talk across the internet that this song was so great, that I decided to take a listen. Well, it ain’t the great. Honestly, I didn’t even listen to the lyrics, which is probably my bad, but I can’t get over the use of Brian Bennett’s track “Solstice.” I mean, they didn’t even try to conceal the fact that the song’s being played...

RENDEZVOUS! Soundtracks of the 1960's & 1970's →
A few friends of mine put on an event in LA called “RENDEZVOUS!!” which is a night comprised of strictly soundtrack music from the 60’s & 70’s. I know everyone likes “breaks,” but let’s not forget, while we were doing our thing over here, the rest of the world was doing they same exact “funky” thing… Here the set by Black Dynamite...

Rotary Connection "Aladdin" (1968)
I’ve never heard a bad track by this group, and their work has been sampled by the likes of “A Tribe Called Quest” to “Dj Shadow.” Take a listen to an album from 1968, courtesy of psychedelic music blogging factory HIPPY Dj KIT — they never seem to disappoint… Rotary Connection was a psychedelic soul band formed in Chicago in 1966.This inter-racial...

John McLaughlin "Devotion" (1970)
This is one of my oldest (living) posts from the original vinyl4giants website. It’s a very good, melodic record, and it visits a little more of the psychedelic side, rather than the rock & roll side of guitarist John McLaughlin… Taken from original post:  Here’s another one for you guys. Got this one a while ago, but haven’t bothered to listen to it until recently....

So I switched over to tumblr because it looked cool, and I was getting sweated by Blogger for “sharing” music, so I relocated… Anyways, looks like my old spot is still up & running, and is still getting hits. Feel free to go through and pillage what you still can, while you still can. It has 163,000 hits at the moment…
